Building a Brighter Future for PCAS
The new Piatt County Animal Shelter will be a modern, nearly 5,000‑square‑foot facility built with animal health, safety, and comfort at its core. Construction begins in April 2026. Our future home at 1203 Raymond Road in Monticello, directly across from the Robert Milligan Memorial Dog Park, will create a welcoming, accessible space for our community and the animals we serve.
Thoughtful design features include abundant natural light and a layout centered on sanitation and disease prevention. Separate cat and dog quarantine areas allow sick or stressed animals to recover in calm, familiar surroundings. Dedicated isolation spaces for new intakes ensure every animal can be properly evaluated before joining the general population.
Every donation—big or small—helps us build a healthier, safer future for the pets who rely on us. Together, we can make this new shelter a reality. Thank you for being part of our mission.
